South Falls
PLACES TO VISIT
South Falls, located within the borders of Cindere village in the Güney district of Denizli and bearing the same name as the district, is not only a waterfall, but also a national park and a first-degree protected area due to the natural beauties and flora it contains. The waterfall and its surroundings are worth seeing with their natural beauty and magnificent views.
South Falls water consists of water flowing from the stream bed where the waters collected on the slopes of Cindere Mountain meet. The point where the water spills is the Büyük Menderes river. The water filtered from a height of about 20 meters is chalky. For this reason, limestone steps and various natural structures were formed at the point where the waterfall spilled.
The waters filtering over the green velvet algae formed by the droplets of the waterfall flowing from the same point for years, formed stalactites based on the years, and Damlataş Cave emerged and there is a lake where you can swim in the cave.
